Another quick one.
My friend took this photo and posted it in the “Expats in Mersin” Facebook page recently. It speaks for itself.
So when Shakespeare asks, “What’s in a name?” the answer is a lot if your name is Mustafa Kunt.
His name is whaaattt????
“Must have a Kunt”.
Oh yeah I went there!

Ohhh, think that’s the best one yet. We used to know a guy called Ufuk who had a dog called Kont and our British friends who came over to see us really struggled with us saying Ufuk n Kont…but that name above far out does our human / dog combo. 🙂

It’s the family name of a Turkish friend of ours – fine when he’s in Turkey but you can imagine the reaction here in England. I’d change it by deed poll!

The Doberman who lives with the employees of our village is also named with the Turkish word for ‘Count’. And it’s a big black one.

It turns out that Kunt is a very common surname here in Turkiye. I find it all quite hilarious anyway!
